Just a quickie to say that the new website is coming along excellently. I am very proud of it and I feel like it is definitely something special. I was aiming for a 1st of March release, but I realised that this would be way too rushed. Instead, it will be launched on the 17th of March, which is fitting seeing as it is exactly 4 months after the original launch. It also gives me some breathing room not to ignore my other projects.
Second of all, the facebook group is 30 members away from hitting 800. Do me a favour :)
05/02/10
I retract the last statement and am going back to Plan B. Things will be very quiet around here for the next while, but hopefully sometime around March, the entire site will be remade and will inevitably reach a whole new level of awesome/stupidity. Check the facebook page for the latest.

Lily Allen is back on Twitter! She basically quit just before I made this website, which sucked cos I figured it was the best way to get hold of her. So this is good news :D If you feel like being nice, please do me a favour and tweet the following:
Hey @lilyroseallen have you seen this? http://www.HelpJaredWoodsMeetLilyAllen.com
I reckon if enough people do this, she will definitely look at the website. Which would either mean (a) She will find it funny and go along with it, or (b) She will think it's really weird and tell me to fuck off. Either way, it will conclude the whole experiment, and I can go on with my normal life :) Just do it.

You know, when I first started this project, it was very entertaining. There was a massive input of interest and ideas coming in at all angles, emails everyday, new facebook members, the works. Lately I have attempted a few dead end routes at getting attention and have more or less ended up embarrassing myself. I have started to feel like I have hit a brick wall.
It is because of this that I am taking a month or so off my quest, just to step back and reevaluate the situation. I have something big in the works, so don't think that nothing is happening, because something is. Just keep an eye here or on the facebook page, and all will be revealed shortly.
Any ideas will always be used and credited, so don't stop sending them in!

This is just a fun update to show you some stuff I found around the interwebz.
The first is this YouTube video, where you can clearly see the piece of paper I threw on stage with Lily:
The second is also kinda funny, it is an image of Google when you type "Jared Wo" into the search engine:
Hahaha funny. Anyways, have a good weekend, hope to have some new stuff next week for you all :)

Myspace is open for business!
Despite my soul-consuming schedule, I have finally created a Myspace page. It's very basic at the moment, but I will add bits 'n pieces onto it every oppertunity I can get. I will also update the blog everytime there is news, so you can get it there if you prefer.
If you have a myspace profile, lets be friends!
I also thought the font was too big on this website, so it's a bit smaller now. To be honest, the whole site makes me cringe, it needs some serious attention which I hope to get fixed up asap!
I will attempt to contact some independent publications later on today if I have time. And PLEASE, any ideas, let me know!!!!
13/01/10
Without going too far into my personal life, I have recently lost my job (yay :/) so right now my resources are all focused on fixing this. As a result, this website may suffer a little bit, but not much.
I urge you to keep an eye on the "Business As Usual" section at the bottom of Juice Nothing to keep up to date on the matter.
But the other night I had an AWESOME idea, seriously the best one yet. I am not going to reveal anything yet, but it's a biggie and will change this website as we know it.
Definitely some news next week, keep your eye around here!

One of my good mates has helped out by posting links on his groups. This is awesome because I have been following his stuff for well over a year now.
The first is Anime and Manga - South Africa which is your one stop news for anything on the subject. Seriously check it out.
Something I am even more supportive of is the facebook cause to Decriminalize Cannabis in South Africa which I think is very important. Do your part.

Calling all people who own a facebook group with more than 400 members! Let's make a deal! You post a link to my group on yours, and I will do the same. Think about it: 750 potential new members doesn't sound that bad hey? Contact me here.
Update: Natalia of Against Light Photography posted a link on her group. She is one of my favourite photographers of all time, so much so that she was the December 2009 Artist of the Month
for Art-Pulpitations. Check her stuff out!

I have added a guestbook now, so people can give me ideas or just laugh and point at me.

Hello and welcome to 2010! I hope you all had a sick New Years, I for one am really amped for the next year, really expecting to get a lot done around The Lily Allen Project and otherwise.
Just to give you some of the ideas I have planned:
- Create a myspace.
- Sticker up London something fierce.
- Get a guest list on this very website so people can post ideas or insult me.
- Make contact with every major person in the world including EMI and Brian Herzlinger.
- Spend all my money on real advertising.
- Revamp the entire site so it looks even better.
- Create a charity page where people can put money towards advertising, and keeping half of it for a charity of Lily's choice (great idea, thanks Bex!)
- And finally, plans are being made for a short YouTube documentary, more info on this very soon. (Thanks once again to Ian for this idea)
I recently posted a ton of links around Lily Allen related Facebook groups, and a few people have contacted me. The facebook group is slowing down a bit, we are up to 750 members now, pleeeease invite your friends and then let me know you did so! I will be updating this a lot more this year, so thanks for the support and stay tuned...
21/12/09
I have deicded to actually enjoy Xmas and New Years this time round, so I won't be updating this site until the 2010. I am sure you will be fine.
Oh, but we did just hit 700 members, which is a nice Xmas present, thanks! :D
HAVE A MERRY XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR! Don't do anything I wouldn't do...

Ok, so I went to Lily's show last night, it was sweet. Didn't meet her, but in hind sight, it was a little ambitious to think I would get the attention of the only girl on stage when thousands of other people had the same idea.
I managed to put stickers all around the Brixton O2 (sorry guys, I'll come clean up if you really want me to). I also had my trusty Help Jared Woods Meet Lily Allen T-shirt on, which people laughed at me about.
I also had a make shift sign (6 A4 pages taped together) but I was too scared to use it because it looked so bad.
So this left me with 3 pieces of paper that looked like this:
I managed to get 3 people deep from the front, and everytime Lily came anywhere near me, I waved the paper at her. This wasn't working at all, so all these chicks were like "throw it on stage!". So I did.
It landed on stage and just sat there. Lily didn't see it, but she walked right up to it and her foot touched it.
So let's recap for a second here: LILY ALLEN'S FOOT TOUCHED THE WEB ADDRESS. That's pretty cool.
So I took another one of the pieces and waited until she was close and threw that one. It basically hit her, and she didn't look impressed, I think she thought someone was just throwing shit at her. She didn't pick it up.
However, I was still stoked. I could see two pieces of paper on stage with the web address on them while she danced inbetween them. I was so sure that someone would pick it up and give it to her until the last song...
I watched in anguish as all these little silver pieces of paper began to fall from ceiling. Slowly, they drowned my papers until they weren't even visible anymore. I was pretty crushed, so I put some more stickers up and went outside.
I was planning to wait for her outside the exit, but I didn't because (1) It was snowing and I was cold; (2) The last train was about to leave; and (3) She is known for not stopping for fans after shows anyway.
Regardless, EPIC show, she was mind blowingly good, and this is her last proper show for a very long time because she is taking a break from music for a while, so I was honoured to be there.
In a way this was a fail, but there are tons of other ideas that I haven't used yet, one in particular I am very excited about. Keep checking this page and I will tell you all about it later.
In the meantime, check the pics out, and excuse my 2 megapixel phone camera quality:

Today is the big day when I go to Lily's concert and try get her attention. Thanks to everyone who helped with suggestions, I will post the update as soon as possible.
I have tried to make contact with TMZ, NME and Just Curious (thanks Ant!)
Finally, I have just launched Juice Nothing which is a blog of sorts and will feature any Lily Allen updates as well as information on all the other projects I am working on. Please check it out!
15/12/09
Just a quickie to say that I have sent the Press Release to: MTV-UK; The Mirror; The Daily Star; Vogue; OSOYOU; Undercover; In Style UK; TVNZ; Banmoco & Marie Clare. If anyone can think of any other places to send it, please let me know, I am running out!
14/12/09
After a well deserved 4 day break from the internet, I am back to play business man.
Despite my constant promotion of the film, I finally got my copy of My Date With Drew. I got a few ideas from it, but more than anything, was very inspired by it. If he can do it, I am pretty sure I can out-do it.
I have sent the Press Release to: Giant Digital; Contact Music; The Sun; Perez Hilton; Angry Ape; The Independent; The Superficial; BBC; OK Mag; Yahoo and Pop Eater.
We also hit 600 members on the facebook group.
The BIG NEWS is that I have a ticket to see Lily in concert on the 17th. I made a t-shirt with HELP JARED WOODS MEET LILY ALLEN.com (photos soon) on the front, and I am going to try wait for her after the show. Any other ideas? I need them! Email me!
Finally, a quick thanks to
Francesca and Jade, who invited all their friends, you guys are my heroes. :)
09/12/09
I have attempted to make contact with the Dailymail, Mail on Sunday, The Metro, This is London, London Net and Entertainment News. Cross fingers they respond! I will attempt to send the Press Release to 5 publications every week day.
Besides this, thanks to Armin who invited his peeps to the facebook group and posted a link on his bands group (Matricide, check them out!).
Giulia was kind enough to invite around 450 of her friends to the group, much appreciated!
And finally, Lisa sent the press release to Kerrang! magazine, which I reckon was a good idea, max respect!
08/12/09
Because a whole load of facebook people is not enough to make this happen, we now have a press release! Please download this pdf and send it to as many publications as you can think of, and let me know if you do!
Special thanks to Jaclyn for all her help with this.
07/12/09
Another thanks to BobTheChef who invted 163 people to the facebook group, respect.
We also hit 500 members over the weekend, which is nice :)
04/12/09
Just a quickie to say thanks to Kate who invited all her "open minded friends" to the facebook group hehehe.
And to be honest, I just want to say thanks to EVERYONE once again. The whole thing has been so much fun and overwhelming. I have never been a part of something that has been given so much interest in such a short space of time. You guys are making me very happy indeed. :)
More news coming very soon!
03/12/09
Quite a bit more respect needs to be given around.
Kelly who invited all her friends to the facebook group.
Ryan who invited 664 people (nice!).
Kim who invited 200 people.
Chris who reminded me that this shit should be on myspace.
And Paul who gave me some references to research The 6 Degrees of Seperation.
I wish there was a better way to say Thank-you SO much guys!
Also, just for fun, I actually bought a facebook ad which will run for the next 4 days. This all seems to be working as the member list keeps on climbing!!
UPDATE: The facebook group just hit 400, which is amazing!! I wish I could tell you guys how much I appreciate all of this!
And a very special thanks to Chloë who invited 850 friends! I have no words, you rock my world!
02/12/09
Two more thank-you's are in order.
First of all, thanks to Natasha who invited all her friends to the facebook group and was really encouraging in her email - you rock.
Second of all, and this is pretty fucking special, Danny MidgetNinja decided to design his own stickers! You can download them here. Dude, maximum respect!
UPDATE: Adam invited 200 of his friends, which is very nice of him.
Shortly afterwards Jason invited 358 of his friends, which is also very very nice.
Thanks so much guys, because of people like you, we just hit 300 members :D
Join if you havent.
01/12/09
We have stickers now! If you feel like being awesome, just download this pdf, purchase some A4 label paper (about £3.00) and then print!
If you do this and stick them somewhere, please take a photo or just let us know!
And please, don't vandalise your city, people need to live there.
27/11/09
Some more quick thank-you's are in order.
Heinrich who invited 397 people to the facebook group.
Becki who informed me that Lily was going to be on Alan Carr's show next week Thursday. Pretty sure the show has been taped already, but I tweeted him anyway.
And Dan Sum-Yung who went all out and invited 200 people to the group, posted the link on his facebook and posted about it on his blog.
Max respect to all of you, danke danke!
26/11/09
A couple more people deserve massive props:
Danny Midgetninja who promoted the site through a few facebook groups.
Gina who tweeted about it.
And Alex, who emailed me and suggested finding out what shows Lily would be on and then emailing the show producers. Smart plan!
Thanks so much guys! More news coming soon!
24/11/09
Just a quickie to say thanks to the following people:
Ant who mentioned us in her blog.
Kelly who pointed out a competition where you can win tickets to her show.
And Becki who invited 252 of her friends on facebook.
THANKS GUYS!!!!
Second of all, some people hate me and love to tell me so. To celebrate this, I created a Hate Mail page where you can laugh with me.
And finally, I have pin-pointed at least 5 really good ideas that go beyond emailing a bunch of people. More on this very soon!!
23/11/09
Our facebook group hit 200 members! This is definitely the fastest growing group I have ever been a part of, which is nice.
There is an issue I need to address that a lot of people have pointed out to me. Lily Allen has pretty much quit the internet, as you can read about here:
http://www.mrpaparazzi.com/index.aspx?postID=8970
http://www.thecelebritytruth.com/lily-allen-abandoning-online-world/0011958
Yeah, totally makes it harder, but not impossible. We might not
reach Lily herself, but if we reach someone who is in contact with Lily, then everything will be just fine. Bad timing tho!
Besides this, I have emailed Perez Hilton, The Sun, and left a post on her LastFM page. A ton of people have been awesome supportive, the best suggestion coming from Ian who put forward the idea of a YouTube video and spreading that around. I'm on this! :)
Of course, there are a ton of people against me. On one side we have people saying I am a crazy stalker, on the other side we have people saying they would never help me because they are trying to meet Lily themselves. I say that you are entitled to your opinion, and you can go to hell :P
19/11/09
In two days quite a lot has happened!
First of all, the facebook group has reached 166 members in 2 days, which is much more than I could've hoped for! Thanks guys!! Keep it growing!
Besides this, I have emailed Lily (I think) and posted the link on some facebook groups. I also emailed Zane Lowe, Rory McConnell and Vic Galloway from BBC Radio 1.
I emailed The Superficial, but no response. I am scared, because if it gets posted, there is no doubt I will get ripped apart!
I also joined her official message board, posted a thread and was surprised to find that people were pretty supportive. I sent her a pvt message there too.
I have to thank the following people too:
Mark my cousin suggested the "share" button on the index page.
Lisa C suggested stickers and informed me of where Lily likes to hang out.
Cathryn suggested I put out adverts in papers, which I will do.
Cássia who suggested contacting TV shows, The Sun and Perez Hilton, all of which I will do. (This girl has already met Lily, argh, jealous!! :P )
Natalie who suggested I use witchcraft. Uhm, maybe not hey lol.
Ammr who posted a link on Lily's official facebook page. Thanks dude, it always looks better if someone other than me does it!
Special thanks to Marge, Cathryn, Wessel, Adam and Christine who posted my link on their facebook, as well as Ant and Francesca who tweeted about it.
And finally, thanks to everyone who joined the facebook group, especially those who invited their friends like Natalia and Cathryn, you guys rock!
Please guys, any other suggestions, contact me! And if you do anything to help, let me know, and you will be credited! Lets keep it up!
