Darkness fell from her eyes
Into the emptiness beyond.
Tears created a lake
In the depths of the middle of nowhere.
Her heart sank to the bottom of the lake
And loneliness consumed her soul.
She was neither here, nor there
And had no place of her own.
Nobody,
Not a soul knew her existence.
Her saltwater lake
Fuelled an all-consuming fire
Which eventually caused her demise,
And nobody knew. |
